Female rod end bearings installation and disassembly method.

1. In the absence or inability to use the press, the female rod end bearings can be mounted with the assembly sleeve and the hammer. The hammering force should be transmitted evenly over the entire circumference of the end face of the female rod end bearing ferrule, so that the hammered end face of the assembly casing should be made spherical.

2. The force required to install the female rod end bearings is related to the size of the joint bearing and the amount of interference. For medium or large joint bearings with large interference, the method is hot. Before the hot loading, put the female rod end bearings or the separable joint bearing ring into the fuel tank or special heater and heat evenly to 80-100 °C, not more than 100 °C.

3, hot loaded female rod end bearings requires skilled operation skills. When the joint bearing is removed from the heating tank or heater, immediately wipe off the oil traces and attachments on the surface of the female rod end bearing with a clean cloth (note that the cotton yarn cannot be used), and then place it in front of the mating surface in one operation. Push the joint bearing to the place where it stands against the shoulder. Always tighten during the cooling process or tap the joint bearing with a small hammer through the fitting sleeve to make it tight. When installing female rod end bearings, rotate the joint bearing slightly to avoid tipping or jamming.

4. When the outer ring of the female rod end bearings and the housing hole are tightly fitted, the housing can be heated and then loaded into the joint bearing. In particular, the joint bearing of light metal material may damage the mating surface due to the pressing of the outer ring during the tight fitting process. In this case, the female rod end bearings should be heated first.
